About Andrew Murray Vineyards: Andrew Murray fell in love with the Rhone varietals, Syrah and Viognier, while traveling through France’s Rhone Valley in the late 1980’s. After a brief internship in working with Shiraz in Australia, Andrew returned to the state’s where he would earn his bachelor’s degree in viticulture and enology at UC Davis. After graduation Andrew immediately founded his eponymous Santa Ynez winery and vineyard. Andrew Murray sought out other growers who shared his passion for Rhone varietals and began using the most advanced viticultural techniques to create strong yet elegant wines in perilously
low yields. His 20 years of experience and continued passion in creating strong yet elegant wines has led Robert Parker Jr. to call Andrew Murray “…one of the shining stars in the Santa Barbara firmament.”
